Notification for Extension of Period of Stay procedures

As of July 1st 2009, the Application Form for Extension of Period of Stay has been changed. The following procedure is necessary for all International Students. Please, see the details below: 　

1.The Application Form for Extension of Period of Stay
There is an additional document for the organization part 1 & 2P needs to fill out by Nagoya Institute of Technology.

2.New procedure
(Previous Procedure)
The Application Form and related documents were prepared and brought to the Regional Immigration Bureau by the applicants.

(New Procedure)
A.As soon as the applicants collect all necessary documents for applying an Extension of Period of Stay, they must submit to Student Center (No. 7 window). The documents are reviewed by International Student Affairs. One of the Application forms for organizations part 1 &2 P is filled out and stamped by Nagoya Institute of Technology.

B.The documents are ready approximately 7business days. The applicants are required to pick up all documents at Student Center ( No.7 window).

C.All documents must be submitted to the Regional Immigration Bureau by the applicants.

＜Note＞
・The Regional Immigration Bureau will start accepting an application form of Extension of Period of Stay for two months prior to the date of Expiration. You should have a plenty of time to prepare for extension procedures, and come to Student Center (No.7 window) for applying Extension of Period of Stay.
